Modi College NCC Cadets attended 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp organized by the 4 Punjab Girls Battalion
The 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp, organized by the 4 Punjab Girls Battalion, Patiala, concluded successfully at the NCC Academy, Roopnagar, on September 2, 2024. The camp, which commenced on August 24, saw enthusiastic participation from 373 cadets (including 30 cadets from M M Modi College) representing various institutions.
Throughout the camp, cadets engaged in a range of activities aimed at enhancing their personality, skills and knowledge. These activities included firing practice, obstacle training, map reading, and weapon training. Additionally, special visits were arranged for the cadets, including a firefighting demonstration by the local firefighting team and an informative session on de-addiction by a team from the Civil Hospital, Ropar.
A series of lectures by ANOs/ PI staff and various competitions were held during the camp to encourage cadet participation and foster a spirit of healthy competition. The events included a drill competition, firing competition, obstacle training competition, declamation contest, and poster-making competition.
From Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala Cadet Mehakpreet Kaur (BCom-II Hons) took the top honour in Firing Competition, Cadet Taranpreet Kaur (BSc-II NM) got first in declamation competition, Cadet Ramandeep Kaur (BA-III) emerged second in drill competition and cadet Amandeep Kaur (BA-III) and Cadet Kajal Singh (BCom-II Hons) bagged second and third position respectively in poster making Competition.
On this victorious achievements of cadets Principal Dr Neeraj Goyal congratulated ANO Lt. Dr Nidhi Rani Gupta and the winners.
